I was born and raised in rural Vermont. Much of my childhood was spent coloring by a wood stove and avoiding most of the outdoor pursuits enjoyed by my peers. After first reading Kay Thompson’s Eloise at the age of 6, I declared my dream to live in New York City and become a “city kid”.

After completing high school my mission was practically realized. I moved to Brooklyn, New York to attend Pratt Institute where I studied Industrial Design. Despite never taking up full-time residence at the Plaza Hotel, my time in New York was a dream come true… and of course, at times a nightmare.

Taking advantage of any opportunity to travel I spent a semester at Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany studying Product Design. It was in Europe that I discovered a life-long love of new language, biking and beer.

After graduating I continued working in New York. Like many, I maintained several jobs to support my city dwelling. I designed and built movie props for NBCUniversal Studios, my work appearing most prominently in Tina Fey's Sisters.

During this time I also worked as a studio manager at PELLE, an independent design studio that combines the practices of art and engineering to create expressive lighting, furniture and design objects.

In 2014, craving a change in scenery, I moved to Seattle, Washington. I began working as a Course Producer at General Assembly (GA), an education company specializing in Technology & Design, geared toward professionals looking to change their career trajectory. During my years at GA I began to transform my own path. Leveraging my employee status, I completed GA courses in: User Experience Design, Digital Marketing and Front End Web Development.

I fully shifted into life as a Graphic Designer in 2017 upon moving to Chicago, Illinois. Though the career move was a success, leaving the West was not. During my time in Washington I had finally come around to the great outdoors and inadvertently fallen in love with wide open spaces. After only 9 months in the Windy City I began plotting a route back to mountains …any mountains.

With no expectations other than gaining some elevation, I moved to Wyoming having landed a job for an outdoor apparel company based in Jackson Hole. After 4 years working at Stio and rising to the position Senior Graphic Designer, I’ve moved on to pursue work as an artist and Freelance Designer.

The goal of my work is to lead with levity, engage with the community, and advocate for environmental stewardship.
