Best of Jackson Hole & The Locals’ Guidebook
Best of Jackson Hole (BOJH) is an annual contest run by Buckrail, a news media outlet based in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Community members nominate local organizations and individuals in a wide range of categories for the honor of ‘Best of’. Categories include Arts/Entertainment, Health/Wellness, Food/Beverage, Adventure/Activity, and Community Character. Thousands of nominees are voted on and awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze in their respective category.
The Locals’ Guidebook is an annual publication linked to the BOJH contest that features fun editorials, local knowledge and all the BOJH winners. The Guidebook is distributed for free all around the Jackson Hole valley.
Role
Project Manger, Designer, Illustrator
Year
2024 / 2025
I was first hired by Buckrail in 2024 to update the BOJH contest visual identity, a predominantly digital campaign. I was then asked to carry those updates through to the printed publication, The Locals’ Guidebook. I created a collection of icons (seen in the examples above) inspired by the contest categories. These icons grew into an illustration style featured on the 2024 cover and throughout the book. In 2025 I was asked to continue developing the contest and Guidebook designs.
